The Block

The Midway Bar. Nothing too spectacular, but it does have nifty neon signage.

The 2 O'clock Club. One of the older clubs on The Block. You just know I'm crazy about that neon sign!

Ooh la la! It's Club Chez Joey! Cheesy name, sure, but look at that building! And check out the American Flag in the large window. A patriotic strip club - who knew?

Two shots of the Gayety. This was a former burlesque theater where some of the biggest names in both stripping and comedy played. Abbott & Costello, Phil Silvers, Jackie Gleason and Red Skelton performed here, as well as Gypsy Rose Lee, Sally Rand and Blaze Starr. The ornate facade is all that remains of the original theater after a fire in 1969 gutted the building. As you can see, it's now a porn shop. Larry Flynt recently bought the Gayety and will open a Hustler Club in it.
